Our work is focused mostly on various major commercial projects, including high rise steelwork, public infrastructure, miscellaneous ironwork, architectural panel installation, glazing and rigging/machinery moving projects.

We’re anticipating a significant increase in our need for more members, so apply now so we can contact you when our employers need more people with your skills and experience.

In addition to our normal workload, there are two massive many-years-long projects which are scheduled to begin in 2017 and early 2018.

One, to begin in 2017, is the redevelopment of a 3,200-acre land parcel into a 15-building warehousing, manufacturing and port-service centre.

The other, to start a little later, is the construction of a 320-acre seaside global headquarters for UnderArmour. The 12-year project will involve 6 to 8 high rise towers, a lot of commercial development and a large athletic centre. We also expect 50 of our members to begin a two-year suspension bridge project in summer 2016.

We are well paid, and we and our families are protected by a good health & welfare plan and a defined benefit pension plan, both of which are employer-paid.

We train apprentices 9 months a year in twice-a-week evening courses. Apprentices get 6 credits for each completed year from the Community Colleges of Baltimore City. Members are free to come one evening a week to our welding shop. We are an AWS-accredited testing facility.

We welcome applications from men and women ironworkers or apprentices who are currently working non-union.

Come work with the best!
