Nearly all 400 members of Ironworkers Local 92 in Birmingham are busy these days.

With lots of larger jobs coming – like major expansions at Honda and Hyundai plants, and various projects for Alabama Power and Southern Power – the Local is looking for continued good employer demand at least through 2018.

Birmingham’s apprenticeship school operates evening classroom training, taking apprentices year-round and placing them in a pre-apprenticeship program until the formal training period begins in September.

Members enjoy good pension and health & welfare programs, and we always work safe!

On top of all that, Birmingham consistently appears on lists of the best American cities in which to live, in part because our cost of living is quite reasonable.

We welcome applications from men and women ironworkers and apprentices who are not currently represented by a union.

Come work with the best!
