The Chicago region’s demand for skilled riggers and machinery movers seems endless.

Our members rig and move just about anything, just about everywhere.

We’ve moved a rhinoceros and a giraffe for the Chicago Zoo. We moved a historic German U-boat into the Museum of Science and Industry. We’ve just finished the largest house move in North American history.

And just imagine the work involved in rigging and moving huge pieces of industrial equipment into a global machine tool trade show – all 2.6 million square feet of it! That’s just one of the trade shows we make possible.

When we say you name it and we’ll move it, we’re serious. Part of our regular work includes rigging and moving safes, ATMs, various kinds of large presses and assorted industrial equipment and plenty more.

At various times, we need as many as 100 more ironworkers than we have in our total active membership, so make sure we know how to contact you when we need people with your rigging/moving skills.

Our members are very well paid, and we are protected by strong, employer-paid health & welfare and defined benefit pension plans.

If you’re a non-union man or woman ironworker or apprentice with rigging skills, we welcome your application.

Come work with the best!
