The economic activity in the huge, 151-county Dallas-Fort Worth Local’s jurisdiction makes for very steady employer demand for the skills of our 740 members.

In fact, we have 30- and 40-year members who have never been out of work unless they’ve chosen to take time off.

Our work is highly varied, from downtown high rise structures and wind turbine erection to construction/expansion work at worksites like a Facebook Data Center, an Owens-Corning Fiberglas plant, GM’s Arlington assembly plant (which is undergoing a $1.4 billion expansion) and the construction of North American headquarters for both Toyota and Liberty Mutual.

We have more than 115 apprentices in our training school, which offers classes two evenings a week from September through May. Our school is located between Dallas and Fort Worth, and it operates a sub-school in El Paso.

Our members earn good pay, and we’re protected by reliable health & welfare and defined benefit pension plans, both of which are employer-paid.

We always work safe!

We welcome applications from men and women ironworkers and apprentices who are currently working for s non-union employer.

Come work with the best!
