We’re so busy at Detroit’s Local 25 that our 1,600 active members need the additional help of retirees and ‘boomers’ to get all our work done.

In addition to the standard structural and reinforcing work that you’d expect a big-city local to be doing, our members are extremely busy servicing the needs of the Big Three automotive manufacturers.

Those companies are constantly building new plants and expanding existing ones. Within their plants, we do a great deal of heavy rigging and maintenance work – such as conveyor relocation – as they reconfigure assembly line floors for new vehicle models.

Needless to say, we are always in need of qualified men and women ironworkers with experience in structural and reinforcing ironwork, as well as heavy rigging. We also operate an apprentice training program.

Our members are paid good money, and they are covered by employer-paid health and welfare and defined benefit pension plans. And we always work safe!

We invite applications from people now working for non-union employers. Come work with the best!
