A big chunk of our work in Houston is ornamental glass in commercial high-rise projects.

Many of our 600 members are also busy doing construction, maintenance and/or expansion work in petrochemical plants, powerhouses and a nuclear power plant.

The nuclear plant has received approval for the construction of two additional units, and that multi-year job will proceed just as soon as the owner has arranged financing. The project will require hundreds of ironworkers.

Right now, our existing membership is capable of meeting the needs of our employers, mainly because of the construction slowdown caused by the fall in oil prices. As the price recovers, we fully expect the industry to speed up in parallel, so make sure we know how to reach you when we need more members.

We are well paid. We always work safe! And members and our families are protected by a good health & welfare plan, and a defined benefit pension plan, both of which are employer-paid.

We welcome applications from men and women ironworkers and apprentices who are currently not working for a union employer.

Come work with the best!
