The broad diversity of the Indianapolis region makes for steady work for the 840 members of Ironworkers Local 22.

The local is busy on a wide variety of projects that require skills – spanning the whole scope of the trade, including structural, reinforcing, ornamental and maintenance.

We have just begun work on the Eagle Valley power house, and we expect several hospital construction/expansion projects in the near future, along with more roads and bridges.

Medium and longer term employer demand for our skills is expected to be solid.

Because we’re dedicated to producing the most well-rounded ironworkers possible, we require all apprentices to take a 2-year Ivy Tech Community College program in applied technology in parallel with their classroom training periods.

We welcome experienced and apprentice applicants who are not currently represented by a union.

Our members enjoy the peace of mind that comes with 100% employer-paid health & welfare and defined benefit pension plans.

Come work with the best!
