The 1,200 men and women of Kansas City Local 10 are virtually fully employed, and looking forward to several years of continued good fortune.

As more of us retire, and as our contractors continue landing big contracts amidst a healthy regional economy, we expect we’ll be needing lots of new members over the coming months and years.

We’re a mixed local that works on a wide variety of infrastructure, multi-story buildings, power houses and a nuclear plant. Our region coversthe West half of Missouri and a third of eastern Kansas.

Major projects currently underway or planned for the near future include a new Kansas City Airport (a 5-year project), four new high-rise buildings and a future hotel on Cerner Innovations sprawling $4.5 billion campus, a big hotel/convention project and a prison expansion. We also work periodically on 5 power houses and a nuclear plant.

Our total page hourly rate is good, and we’re protected by employer-paid health & welfare and defined benefit pension plans.

We always work safe!

Applications are welcome from non-union men and women ironworkers and apprentices.

Make sure we know how to reach you when our employers are demanding more skilled workers than we have in our current membership.

Work with the best!
