After two slow years, the construction industry in our area has come back strongly, providing the 200 union ironworkers of Local 384 Knoxville with what looks like several years of high employer demand for our skills.

The Local sees lots of varied work, including construction, expansion and/or maintenance at worksites like the University of Tennessee, a large US government energy facility, an ALCOA aluminum manufacturing plant, two TVA power houses and 13 dams, among many other types of projects.

Our apprenticeship training school offers evening apprentice training classes from fall to spring.

Members benefit from strong health & welfare and defined benefit pension plans, both of which are 100% employer-paid. Our pay rates are good. And we always work safe!

We welcome applications from men and women ironworkers and apprentices who are not currently represented by a union.

Come work with the best!
