The Louisville construction and maintenance market is so busy these days that our 620 members are all at work, and we’ve been joined by about 100 members from other locals.

Louisville is lucky to be situated at the distribution centre for a huge area of the Eastern US, so there are many construction and expansion projects underway or planned for huge automotive and engine manufacturers as well as UPS, educational institutions and local downtown building developers.

All told, the Local expects that employer demand will remain very strong at the least into 2018 and 2019.

The Local runs an active apprenticeship training program, supplemented by a requirement that apprentices take a 2-year college program in applied technology.

Members enjoy 100% employer-paid health & welfare and defined benefit pension plans.

Ironworkers and apprentices not currently represented by a union are welcome to apply.

Come work with the best!
