A Gulf Coast saltwater port of more than 400,000 in its Metro area, Mobile has a rich industrial life.

Our roughly 250 members work for employers whose projects involve construction, expansion and/or maintenance at powerhouses, steel and carbon steel plants, pellet mills, paper mills, various large refineries and chemical plants.

We’re busy – virtually all of our members who want to work, are working either in our jurisdiction or in surrounding Locals. And they’re supplemented by lots of boomers. In the medium and longer term, given a steady economy, employer demand for our skills looks like it will continue to be steady. We are hopeful that some new power company and EPA projects will begin soon.

Our members and their families have the stability that comes from health & welfare and defined benefit pension plans that are 100% employer-paid. We also operate a defined contribution annuity plan.

We always work safe!

Make sure we can contact you when our employers need more skilled people than our current membership can supply.

Come work with the best!
