Rochester’s 175 ironworkers work on a broad range of reinforcing and structural ironwork projects, including city and state infrastructure, roadway guardrails, powerhouse maintenance, commercial buildings and multi-storey office/condo/hotel projects.

We’re enjoying high employer demand for our skills, and we expect that demand to remain positive for at least the next 2 or three years.

Among our upcoming projects are a 280-foot high, three-quarters-of –a-mile long railroad bridge over a river in Letchworth State Park, quite a bit of work at the University of Rochester, and we’re anticipating that a recent $500 million development budget our governor has recently announced will spill into several projects for our members.

Our pay is good, and our employers pay the premiums for solid health and welfare and defined benefit pension plans.

We always work safe!

We welcome non-union applications from men and women ironworkers and apprentices.

Come work with the best!
